What are custom-made foot orthotics?

Custom-made foot orthotics (CFO’s) is a lower extremity appliance made from a 3-dimensional mold of an individual’s foot.

Why are Orthotic Abilities orthotics unique to others?

Orthotic Abilities provides 3 different types CFO’s based on the clients diagnosis;

  • rigid (polypropelene plastic),
  • semi-rigid (EVA foam)
  • soft form (Polyurethane foam)

Orthotic Abilities performs a comprehensive gait analysis which may include use of the F-scan technology to observe the clients pressure points in static and dynamic weight bearing state.

Orthotic Abilities uses 2 types of casting methods based on each client’s unique situation. Slipper casting or a 3-D foam impression.

CFO’s can be further modified for symptom management by adding additional structural supports or removing a small portion to accommodate for a certain condition.

Orthotic Abilities custom-made foot orthotics are made onsite by a certified Pedorthist and are generally completed within 1 week of the assessment date.

CFO’s come with a 1-year warranty and complimentary adjustments within the year.
